In the framework of the project "Strengthening the professional capacity of students of social science and social service workers", supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), as part of the United Nations Common Program "No one remains After “(LNB), implemented with the Albanian government and funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the Library of the University of Elbasan“ Alexander Xhuvani ”was enriched with 4 new book titles:

1️- "Social Research Methods" by Eduard Bell, Alan Bryman, Steven Kleinknecht, brought to Albanian by professors: Visar Dizdari, Elona Dobo, Elisabeta Osmanaj and Skerdi Zahaj.

The University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani" held the first meeting of the working group for the newest project won, "Hegenai: Exploring Generation AI in ASSESSment and Feedback for Higher Education".

The project, coordinated by the Danmarket Techniske University (DTU), in partnership with prestigious universities, will last for a period of 3 years, starting implementation in September 2024.

This innovative initiative, funded by Erasmus+ KA220-Hed, aims to explore and implement innovative uses of the generation (Genai) in higher education to improve evaluation and response practices in various European and non-European institutions.

The Faculty of Education Sciences held today the opening of the training cycle for social workers and psychologists, starting with the training "Research Methods in Social Science" to continue with 2 other modules: "Case Management" and "Group Work . ”

The Dean of the Faculty, Prof.As.Dr. Elisabeta Osmanaj, focused on the importance of continuing education for the institution, as well as for all social workers and psychologists who choose the University of Elbasan to increase capacity in their professions.

The Faculty of Education Sciences in partnership with the University of Tirana and Shkodra also brings 4 very important book titles for students and social service staff, who will be offered free to students and have been described as the best publications in Europe in the relevant field:

Elbasan University "Alexander Xhuvani", participant in the Kick off Meeting (Sport, Health, and The People - A Western Balkan University Network).

This project funded by the Erasmus+ KA2 CBHE of the European Union 🇪🇺 aims to build a university network for sport in the Western Balkans and to design joint actions, in accordance with the European context and EU recommendations to promote an active lifestyle and contribute to community life and sustainable development in the region.

 University of Elbasan Participating in the SHAPE project launch meeting

It took place at the University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani", the first meeting of the constitution of new members of the Academic Senate and elected deans of the faculties.

In the opening speech, Rector of the University Prof. Dr. Elvira Fetahu wished success in their work to the members of the Academic Senate, with representatives from the academic and student personnel, as well as the deputy rectors and deans selected.

At this meeting, the Academic Senate approved the proposal of the Rector of the University Prof. Dr. Elvira Fetahu for the proposed candidacies as deputy rectors for scientific research Prof.Dr. Skender Topi and for the teaching side Prof.As.Dr Rezarta Tahiraj.

Rector of the University of Elbasan “Alexander Xhuvani”, Prof.Dr. Skender Topi, held a fruitful meeting with the Rector of St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo in Bulgaria, Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov.

During the meeting, the agreements and projects undertaken were discussed, as well as the importance of implementing long -term concrete cooperation between the two institutions in the areas of common interest.

Prof. Topi participated with the group of professors from the University of Elbasan, in Summer School organized by the University of Veliko Tarnovo, for students of the doctoral cycle, developed under the Erasmus+program.
