The first national conference of students of the Faculty of Education Sciences on the topic of the current challenges of students regarding professional practice in the context of the comprehensive kindergarten, focusing on children's education from ethnic minorities

First Student Conference “Current Student Challenges on Professional Practice in the Context of the All -Knowing Kindergarten, focusing on the education of children from ethnic minorities”, held on June 14, 2019, Elbasan, is supported by the University of Elbasan “Aleksandar Xhuvani”, Faculty of the education sciences and in close cooperation with the organization "Save the Children".

This conference was organized in the framework of the implementation of the project "Care and Development in Early Childhood for Roma Children in Albania", funded by Rome Education Fund and Medical, implemented by "Save the Children" in partnership with other local organizations such as: Romano Sezi and Voice of Roma.

The purpose of this conference was to provide opportunities for students attending study programs in the field of teaching and other actors who support their journey to vocational training, to gather together and share the knowledge and experience gained in each other Framework of professional practice, focusing on implementing inclusive education and guaranteeing quality in education for children from ethnic minorities.

The conference welcomed students invited by the University of Korça who brought the greetings of other colleagues at their university. Students from other faculties of the University of Elbasan were also part of the conference, a former graduate of the university who are currently a distinguished specialist in the field of education, as well as representatives of the "Zeri Roma" association from Elbasan and Fier district .

The student conference was welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences, Pro.as.Dr. Valentina Haxhiymeri, from project manager Save the Children Besnik Kadesha, Head of the Department of Teaching Methodology Ms. Florinda Tarusha, Head of the Organization "Zeri Rom" Majidie Ademi, Save the Children officer Mrs. Enkelejda Bakia and Roma Language researcher, Prof.As.Dr. Meli Shopi.

In their speech, the guests praised the Conference of Students as an activity that promotes a new vision of practical implementation of the active involvement of students in the process of presenting group study works, constructive discussion, critical reflection on problems and problems and The concrete challenges they face as practitioners, as well as developing ideas to change reality and make important contributions to the continuous improvement of the quality of study programs in the field of teaching, provided in higher education institutions , as well as enhancing capacity and cooperation with mentors of kindergartens and schools where professional practices develop.

This forum presented not only a new, stimulating and inspiring experience in the early professional career of the new generation of students - teachers, but also gave them an excellent space to establish a common network of interaction and partnership for the future.
