The Faculty of Economics of the University of Elbasan “Alexander Xhuvani” held the 9th International Conference entitled "The Latest Challenges in Entrepreneurship Innovation and Legal Framework".

This conference brought together academics, researchers, doctorates and students by promoting the scientific debate in order to improve research, enabling a combination of theoretical and practical contribution to thematic works sensitive to current demands of society.

In the framework of activities undertaken during October, under the motto #October now transformed into a month of awareness of breast cancer and raising awareness of raising measures for its early discovery, the University of Elbasan in cooperation with the parliamentary institute, through The Civic Education Service conducted an activity in the premises of the Faculty of Technical Medical Sciences with the participation of students, academic staff and deputies of the Albanian Parliament Ms. Desantila Tahiraj and Ms. Zheni Gjergji.

Today, the University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani" has marked an important step towards deepening cooperation with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Albania.

The Rector of the University of Elbasan, Prof.Dr. Skender Topi and the Ambassador of the OSCE Presence to Albania, Mr. Bruce G. Berton, have signed an agreement aimed at establishing the Law Clinic at the University of Elbasan. Clinic:

1️⃣ will provide primary legal assistance to low -income residents in Elbasan district;

2️⃣ will assist the practice of fifth year law students.

At the University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani", a workshop was held on the topic "The Process of European Integration in Albania - Opportunities for Civil Society Inclusion in the process of negotiations on education, science and youth"

The event was the main focus of opportunities for civil society, students, academic staff, covering areas of democracy, youth, education and research, or even regional cooperation regarding the process of negotiations and information and consultation on chapters 25 (science and science and Scientific research) and 26 (education and culture) of the EU acquis.

The University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani", participated in the workshop on "Climatic Neutrality Transformation in the Western Balkans", organized by Taiex and Elbasan Municipality, with the participation of various experts from the European Union. "

In this workshop the University of Elbasan was part of the panel "Perspectives of Action for Urban Climate: Knowledge of researchers and practitioners.

This workshop serves to support the exchange of solutions of implementation, governance and funding to achieve climate neutrality of cities.

At the University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani", the presentation of the International Cheving Scholarship program was held, offered by the United Kingdom Government. EU students were informed by the Cheving Program Representative on the opportunities and advantages that this program offers, as well as the criteria and way to apply.
