The Rector of the University of Elbasan, Prof.Dr. Skender Topi, holds an official meeting with the Rector of the University of Firenze, Prof. Alessandra Petrucci.

The meeting took place in the Rectorate of the University of Firenze with focus, expanding the cooperation between the two institutions.

Part of the agreement was the initiative to organize a joint study program in the field of social sciences. The parties also expressed the agreement to expand their cooperation within the Erasmus+ program on study programs in economics, law and technical medical science.

At the University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani, the International Scientific Conference on" Collective Memory in Literature and Media "was organized.

The purpose of this conference is to present new perspectives on traditional dilemmas related to collective memory, especially in the field of literature and media. The conference is an attempt to promote scientific research and to address questions related to the importance and role of literature and media in shaping collective memory and political, social and cultural realities.

It is organized at the University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani", the international scientific conference on "Collective Memory in Literature and Media"

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Bot AADF, Mr. Michael D. Granoff, AADF associates, Mr. Martin Mata and Mr. Alexander Sarapuli, Minister of Education and Sports, Ms. Evis Kushi, members of the Advisory Councils of the Read Program, as well as representatives from higher education institutions across the country.

AADF aims to bring up to 100 Albanian Diaspora scholars to work with higher education institutions in Albania, in collaborative research projects, doctoral, supervision, curriculum development and co-teaching.

In the context of several years of cooperation with Aldo Moro University, Bari, Italy, we have a lecturer invited this week to the Department of Social Sciences and Civic Education, Prof. Gaetano Dammaacco and Prof. Roberta Santoro who are lecture with students of study programs of this department.

The Association "For Women Children", in cooperation with AKKSHI, presented at the premises of the University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani", the "Equality Network-Stopping of Women and Girls in Stem".

Ms. Nora Malaj, Ms. Ermira Pirdeni, Mr. Flutura Xhabija and Ms. Rajmonda Prifti, in their presentations, emphasized that little media promotion, lack of models or examples to follow, social prejudices, have created a gap for development of women and girls in various fields, especially that of scientific research.
