At the University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani", the meeting was held for the constitution of the Student Council, after the development of the Electoral Process for the Student Council, with representatives from the Student Council of the Faculty, the Electoral Commission and the Student Appeals Commission.
The Faculty of Economics of the University of Elbasan “Alexander Xhuvani” held the 9th International Conference entitled "The Latest Challenges in Entrepreneurship Innovation and Legal Framework".
This conference brought together academics, researchers, doctorates and students by promoting the scientific debate in order to improve research, enabling a combination of theoretical and practical contribution to thematic works sensitive to current demands of society.
Today, the University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani" has marked an important step towards deepening cooperation with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Albania.
The Rector of the University of Elbasan, Prof.Dr. Skender Topi and the Ambassador of the OSCE Presence to Albania, Mr. Bruce G. Berton, have signed an agreement aimed at establishing the Law Clinic at the University of Elbasan. Clinic:
1️⃣ will provide primary legal assistance to low -income residents in Elbasan district;
2️⃣ will assist the practice of fifth year law students.
Leaders of the University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani", on 4 December 2023, held a meeting with the Commissioner of the General Section at the People's Advocate, Ms. Vilma Shurdha, accompanied by an assistant commissioner who covers the problems of education at the institution.
Deputy Rector of the University, Prof.As.Dr. Peci Naqellari, informed the attendees on the University, study programs and structures available to students. He focused on the problems and concerns that higher education institutions today have.
At the end of the meeting Mrs. Vilma Shurdha, held a meeting with students in order to inform the role and function of the Ombudsperson Institution as a constitutional institution in protecting and promoting human rights.
This jubilee conference, turned into a tradition at this faculty, together with scholars from different countries, coincides with important dates and anniversaries for the University of Elbasan.
Rector of Prof.Dr. Skender Topi, in his greeting speech, focused on the achievements and the importance of organizing common interest activities, enhancing projects and collaborations within scientific research, supporting any initiative focusing on the student and academic worlds.
All of these elements have enabled ranking as one of the most important institutions in the country.
