University of Trakya University Delegation in Elbasan

In the framework of the creation of cooperation between our University and the University of Trakya, Edirne, Turkey from May 28 to June 1, the University of Elbasan “Alexander Xhuvani” received the delegation of the University of Trakya composed of 4 professors and 11 students. The focus of this exchange of experience were: meeting with representatives of the Faculty of Technical Medical Sciences, organizing a conference as well as the exchange of knowledge, experiences and practices of students in the function of a quality academic and professional preparation.

During this period, professors from Trakya University, Edirne, Turkey, held a meeting with the Rector of the University Prof. Dr. Skender Topi where they discussed the increased concrete opportunities of cooperation between the two institutions and the more efficient ways of strengthening this cooperation.

The delegation was also able to get to know the structures, auditors, laboratories, study halls and other facilities for professors and students offered by the EU.

At the Faculty of Taknik Medical Sciences, the delegation was welcomed by the Dean Prof. Assoc. Dr. Shkelqim Hydri, who emphasized the importance of this faculty as well as the extraordinary work of staff and students, who create an impact on the whole district, thanks to admirable preparation and professionalism.

On the agenda set by the staff of the two universities, one of the important activities was meeting with the Director of the Elbasan Regional Hospital Center Prof. Assoc. Dr. Dasantilatahiraj for the development of an internship by students and lecturers as well as visits to the regional hospital pavilions and departments. With the understanding of the hospital directorate and accompanied by the Rector Porf. Dr. Skender Topi, the team of students and lecturers visited and saw closely the hospital units and had the opportunity to meet and talk to the staff of these units.

The last day of the visit was an international conference aimed at presenting the nursing university academic system in Turkey, Italy and Poland. Prof. Luigi Santacroce, who introduced the university nursing academic system of Italy, emphasizing the resemblance of curricula and real employment opportunities thanks to such a diploma. The conference was present from academic staff and students from the Faculty of Technical Medical Sciences. All attendees were introduced to the academic systems of universities. After each presentation, discussions were held with questions for each university. At the end of the conference for all participants, participants were given participants.
