Scientific conference "Literature and Media - a comparative perspective" is held

On November 19-20, at the premises of "Alexander Xhuvani" University in Elbasan, the International Scientific Conference "Literature and the Media - a comparative perspective" was held. This conference was organized by the Department of Literature-Journalist at the University of Elbasan, in cooperation and with the support of the Department of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Florence, Italy, and the Faculty of Mass Communication and Journalism of AAB College of Prishtina in Kosovo.

The purpose of this conference was to provide new research arguments and promote debates in the field of literature and media studies. It is a very broad study circular that has recognized development in international studies, but which in the Albanian scientific context remains a terrain to explore by using new methodologies imposed by the continuous impetus of innovation.

During its two days of its development, along with media scholars, communication and literature from all Albanian universities in Albania and Kosovo, scholars from Italy, Silvia Pezzoli, Sheyla Moroni and Letizia Materasi also referred. The research themes and the issues discussed at this conference dealt with the features of the interplay of journalistic discourse with literary discourse, a tendency that eradicates the dividing line between literature and journalism, between fiction and non -fiction, between information and narrative, to go towards problems that are observed in the transition of literary text and its adaptation to the scene and the screen, without forgetting those related to the developments it has brought to the book industry the rapid progress of technology and online platforms.
