The University of Elbasan, "Alexander Xhuvani", organized the International Conference: "Sports Sciences, Education and Role in Sustainable Achievement and Development of Social Welfare"

It was organized at the University of Elbasan, "Alexander Xhuvani", the International Conference "Sports Sciences, their Education and Role in Sustainable Achievement and the Development of Social Welfare".

The initiative was taken by the Faculty of Education Sciences, namely the Department of Physical Education and Sports in cooperation with the Association of Albanian Sports Sciences.

Everything coincided with the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Department of Physical Education and Sports.

The conference was moderated by the head of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Edmond Biçoku and was greeted by prominent sports figures at home and abroad.

On behalf of the University of Elbasan, Greetings Greetings Prof. neither. dr. Peci Naqellari. Among other things prof. Naqellari said that "international conferences are extremely important activities that bring together different scholars, to discuss, develop and promote individual and joint studies and research."

He emphasized that the scientific works presented at this conference by local and foreign professors carry their own experiences and also highlight problems and propose better alternatives to implement.

Vice. Rector Peci Naqellari has described the city of Elbasan, not only a cradle of culture and education, but also of sports. “This city has produced generations and generations of personalities who have exalted the citizenship and love of this city for sports. I am convinced and I say it with mouth, that this tradition has not been added to generations, but it continues to be so today, ”he quoted.

In the end he said that the University Curriculum of Physical Education at the EU has been adapted not only to this necessity, but has also been enriched with new subjects that help in the comprehensive formation of the student.

In his speech. Minister of Education and Sports Mr. Kostandin Shkurti said, among other things, that "Physical education and sports are a priority of the Albanian government and in this regard is working hard on the creation of sports infrastructure". He appreciated the precious work done by the University II Elbasan, especially from the Department of Physical Education and Sports at the Faculty of FSHA.

The conference was also welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences Prof.As. dr. Valentina Haxhiymeri.
