The fourth annual conference of the Balkan University Association.

It was held on March 30-31, 2018 in Tetovo, Macedonia, the 4th annual conference of the Balkan University Association (Bua) on “Cooperation between Universities and Cultural Co-existence, a premise for a sustainable platform throughout the Balkans . ” Founded in 2014, the main purpose of the Balkan University Association is the cooperation in the region and the increase in academic capacity, the improvement of the curriculum and the development of research, through universities, libraries, research centers in the Balkan region based on common values global. Part of the Bua are 61 universities in the Balkan region.

Since 2016, the University of Elbasan has been part of Bua. So far it has been worked out and is working to form a scientific network in the fields of language, culture, art, history, economics, law, medicine, and sports; Organizing joint diploma programs; opening of the common archive; the opening of the Institute of Language, Culture and Civilization of the Balkan Peoples; By doing joint scientific, research and innovative projects, organizing exchange programs for academic staff and exchange programs for students within Bua members.

In the event of 30-31 March 2018, the University of Elbasan “Alexander Xhuvani”, was represented by the record, Prof. Dr. Skender Topi. In his statement, the Rector emphasized the importance of academic identity and university cooperation as elements of continuity. Higher education has its mission to promote international cooperation in the field of higher education, providing students with a rich curriculum, comprehensive study programs at home and abroad.
