Activity at the University of Elbasan in the framework of International Competition Day

In the framework of the International Competition Day, the Competition Authority in cooperation with the University "Alexander Xhuvani", the business community and local government, have organized an event on: '' Contribution of Competition Authority to sustainable business development ''.

The purpose of this activity was to recognize the business community of the principles and rules that business must have and implement for free and effective competition in the market. Present at this activity were the Deputy Rector of the University of Elbasan “Alexander Xhuvani” Prof.Asc.Dr. Peçi Naqellari, Chairman of the Competition Authority Juliana Latifi, Dean of the Faculty of Economics Prof.Asc.Dr. Imelda Sejdini, Deputy Mayor of Elbasan Klevis Xhoxhi, lecturers, representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and Business as well as students.

Deputy Rector of the University of Elbasan Prof.Asc.Peçi Naqellari, in the capacity of the host of this activity, first welcomed the attendees. He emphasized that such activities show that the University of Elbasan aims to remain in the forefront of developments, in the context of continuing his open -door policies, being a real supporter and contributor to the life of the city. He emphasized that in this regard, the cooperation with the authority of the competition will be fruitful for the entire Elbasan business community and beyond, its citizens.

The Chairman of the Competition Authority Juliana Latifi said the activity aims to promote the rules and the honest game of competition of Elbasan businesses. According to the Dean of the Faculty of Economics Prof.Asc.Dr.imelda Sejdini that the legal framework is fulfilled in this regard, only recognition and interpretation remains, and this should begin from universities.

Even the deputy mayor of Elbasan welcomed the organization of this meeting and its importance. Then the activity continued with the presentation on the recognition and observance of the rules to be implemented by business and enterprises in fair competition.
