The 2017-2018 new academic year launch ceremony is held at the EU

At the University of Elbasan, "Alexander Xhuvani" was held the 2017-2018 new academic year. Attending the ceremony were the governing authorities of this university, as well as the mayor of Elbasan Mr. Qazim Sejdini!

Initially the academic staff and students were welcomed by the Rector of the University of Elbasan “Alexander Xhuvani”, Prof.Dr. Skender Topi. Wishing first -year -olds in particular, the rector has emphasized the fact that they will continue their studies at an accredited university whose diploma is among the most popular and evaluated in the labor market inside and abroad. Prof. Skender Topi also emphasized that students will be able to use the contemporary environments of the University of Elbasan, which create the conditions for the full development of the teaching and research process, within the best standards in Albania and in the region, by a qualified staff with titles and scientific degrees in 80% of its composition. On this occasion he has called on students to engage maximally in studies, as only so will they be capable professionals in the tomorrow's job market. The Rector has also pointed out the fact that the University of Elbasan has only signed the last year 43 cooperation agreements with counterpart universities, mainly European, agreements that will provide opportunities for all students and lecturers to obtain scholarships in the context of bilateral programs.

Greeting the ceremony, the Mayor of Elbasan has appreciated the fact that all students will now be able to study at a university that successfully passed the evidence of accreditation by the British foreign agency, such as the University of Elbasan. He also said that the Municipality of Elbasan is making every effort to significantly improve the city's infrastructure, which will be more help for all students who choose Alexander Xhuvani University to study.

Academic staff and students were subsequently greeted by the Deputy Rector of the University of Prof.As.Deci Naqellari, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Prof. Dr. . Albert Riska as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Technical Medical Sciences, Prof.As.Dr. Shine Hydri.
