Rector Skender Topi participates in the inauguration ceremony of the academic year at the University of Bari

Rector of the University of Elbasan Prof.Dr. Skender Topi was one of the special guests at the 2016-2017 academic year's inauguration ceremony, at the Aldo Moro Bar University in Italy. Former a former student of this university at the Faculty of Medicine, Rector Skender Topi, was a special guest, along with the Minister of Economy and Finance in Italy, Pier Carlo Padoan, the chief of the cabinet of this ministry Gaetano Manfredi, President of the Rector Conference Conference Italian universities Federico Gallo.

Initially, everyone in attendance was greeted by the Rector of the University of Bari Antonio Felice Uricchio, welcoming this special ceremony and talking about the priorities of the university he runs.

Rector of "Alexander Xhuvani" University of Elbasan, Prof. Dr. Skender Topi, speaking at the ceremony, thanked the University of Bari, as a friendly and partner institution, not only of the University of Elbasan, but also to all Albanians. He emphasized that the cooperation between the two universities has long been concrete, based on the joint agreements signed, where the mobility of academic staff and students is one of the most important points applied so far.

Italian Minister of Economy and Finance Pier Carlo Padoan delivered a lecture entitled, "Comprehensive Europe: The Role of Human Capital". This topic is also discussed in the framework of the meeting that the 7 most industrialized countries in the world have held in Bari.

Meanwhile during his visit to Italy, at the University of Bari, Rector Skender Topi was also accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences Valentina Haxhiymeri, who held bilateral meetings with her counterparts at the University of Bari, where they discussed Opportunities of cooperation in the field of research and teaching.
