EU Cooperation Agreement with two universities in the United States of America

The Rector of the University of Elbasan Prof. Dr.Skender Topi, paid a visit to the United States of America, where he has undergone cooperation agreements and held several meetings with leaders and representatives of 2 state universities. The first stop of the Rector and the lecturers who accompanied him was at the Northern Illiniois University, where he has also signed the new agreement of cooperation between the two institutions. Agreement signed by Rector Prof.Dr. Skender Topi as a representative of the University of Elbasan and Dr. Lisa Freeman, Vice. The Northern Illinois University's executive president foresees the beginning of the intense relations between the two universities, which will be concretized in the exchange of mutual experiences, the mobility of the lecturers and students of the two universities and the possibility of joint scientific research projects, also concretized in the field of doctorates. Rector Skender Topi during the ceremony held once again highlighted his readiness and all the governing structures of the university, to work immediately to concretize the signed agreement. On this occasion, he invited a delegation from the American University to visit the University of Elbasan, to look closely not only with its premises, but also to meet staff and discuss concrete areas of study and cooperation.

After talking to Dr. Lisa Freeman Rector Topi and the staff who accompanied him have met and held talks in the context of the faster concretization of this agreement as well as other leaders of the level of academic staff, such as the Dean of Education Brad Bond, the Dean of College Human health and science Derryl Block, Director of the Els Dieter Zeschke Center, Head of the English Department, Kathleen Renk and other leaders of this university.

The northern University of Illinois is one of the most important higher education institutions in the US, which has its location in the city of Chicago.

The second stop of Rector Skender Topi and the delegation he led was at the Hunter College in New York. At meetings held with leaders of this college, it has been agreed to prepare as soon as possible a cooperation agreement to be signed by representatives of these two institutions. This agreement will provide for the mobility of academic staff and students, in all areas of the study and in particular the assistance and the possibility of research and research of academic staff in the field of doctors as well. Rector Skender Topi also in meetings held in New York with Dr. Michael Middleton, Dean of Education Sciences and Prof. Jason Wirtz, Head of the Department of Curriculum and Teaching, as in Chicago, thanked the interlocutors for the hospitality and willingness shown, to concretize the collaborations and the launch of intensive exchanges between the University of Elbasan and the counterpart universities.
