France's Ambassador Visit to the University of Elbasan
The Ambassador of France accredited to Albania, Mr. Bernard Fitoussi, paid a visit to the "Alexander Xhuvani" University of Elbasan. Ambsador's visit has been in the framework of several conferences being held at 3 universities in the country, a initiative that precedes the United Nations Conference on Climate Change to be held in Paris.
Initially Ambassador Fitoussi was received in a meeting by the Rector of Prof.Dr. Liman Varoshi. The latter known the Ambassador with the developments of the University of Elbasan, starting since its creation as a follower of Normale, the first school of teacher formation throughout the Albanian lands, to this day. Rector Liman Varoshi has emphasized the accreditation process, which will be subjected to this institution of higher education.
Prof. Liman Varoshi has expressed the conviction that with the current status, with the work done in qualifying the academic staff, with the conditions offered by the University of Elbasan, the accreditation process will be successful, placing this institution in the vanguard of Albanian universities . For his part, Ambassador Bernard Fitoussi has expressed his appreciation and readiness to begin the French Embassy shortly after the end of this process, to launch concrete cooperation and assistance to the University of Elbasan, in support of some study programs at this university, as well as Even in enabling collaborations with counterpart universities in France.
The ambassador was then present at the conference organized by the Department of History-Geography at the Faculty of Humanities, regarding climate change, which have today involved not only the world but also Albania.
