SAI meeting at EU on performance audit.

The State Supreme Audit, in cooperation with the University of Elbasan, conducted a seminar on the premises of this university on performance auditing, as a new and important element of the SAI's work in the present and future. Speaking to the attendees at this meeting, the Chairman of the SAI Bujar Leskaj emphasized that the performance audit remains one of the main challenges of the institution he runs and this sector has recently been given special attention. He stated that the purpose of this audit in state institutions, which are subject to control by this institution, is the concrete elaboration of a subject's positive performance, or non -positive performance, which will affect the way to work institution and better administration of funds. He also emphasized that in this regard the orientation of these types of audits even in the context of scientific research is an important element where the contribution of universities in general and that of Elbasan is particularly welcome.

Rector of Prof.Dr. Liman Varoshi, in turn, has emphasized precisely the elements of the scientific research of this new audit direction, elements that would make it more reliable and create proven successful models. He also emphasized the importance of the formation of auditors by university auditors and in this regard the University of Elbasan has seen priority in his curriculum at the Faculty of Economics, Student Audit.

The meeting continued with the greeting speech of other participants in this meeting, as the MP of the Economic Commission in Parliament, Evis Kushi and the former Dean and currently the lecturer of the Faculty of Economics of Tirana Omer Stringa, as well as the presentation of some materials by the side of the SAI representatives of the academic world.
