The Ambassador of Turkey visit to the University of Elbasan.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Albania Hidayet Bayraktar paid a visit to the "Alexander Xhuvani" University of Elbasan. He was received at a meeting by the Rector of this University Prof.Dr. Liman Varoshi. Welcome to the Turkish delegation, Rector Liman Varoshi has made an overview of the History and Developments of the University of Elbasan, such as the Institution of Public Higher Education, the oldest across the country. Meanwhile, focusing on the current situation, the rector stressed that the University of Elbasan is in the face of the difficult challenge of accreditation, a challenge that is expected to prove successful, due to the work done during these years for growth and development not only quantitative but even the quality of this institution.

Turkish Ambassador Mr. Hidayet Bayraktar, for his part, thanked the Rector for the valuable and clear exhibition of the development of the University of Elbasan and the current situation he is in. The ambassador has offered the personal support of the Turkish diplomatic headquarters in Tirana to establish links of cooperation between the University of Elbasan and a Turkish University. This collaboration will consist of the exchange of academic staff and students, for the creation of mutual experiences, where it is thought that the first contacts will begin in this regard soon. At the same time, the interlocutors agreed to provide in close cooperation to the students of the University of Elbasan the possibility of studying Turkish language as a second language. In this regard, concrete steps in the coming months are also expected.

Then the Rector of the University of Elbasan Liman Varoshi accompanied Ambassador Hidayet Bayraktar on a visit to the premises of the main corpus of the university and his library, which left a great impression on the representative of the Turkish state in Tirana.
