Israeli Ambassador to Albania and his predecessor visit and meetings at the University of Elbasan.

Israeli Ambassador to Tirana David Cohen and his predecessor in office, former ambassador non -resident in our country Ehud Gol, were present at the University of Elbasan to meet the Rector of this University Prof.Dr. Liman Varoshi as well as to hold a meeting with English language students. During the meeting with Rector Liman Varoshi, senior diplomats have personally thanked him and the University of Elbasan for the hospitality reserved for all these years to delegations and representatives of the state of Israel, which has made a special connection to be established between them. Former Israeli Ambassador to Albania and a diplomat and official with an excellent career at the highest levels of the Israeli state, Mr. Ehud Gol has in particular expressed the pleasure of returning to the University of Elbasan. For his part the Rector Prof.Dr. Liman Varoshi has made an overview of the new developments of the University of Elbasan, expressing the willingness of this institution's cooperation with its counterparts in the state of Israel.

Then Mr. Ehud Goal in an open lecture with students presented the topic "Strategic Changes in the Middle East", a topic that has sparked much interest in those present.

Meanwhile, during his speech, he particularly praised the role of Albania and Albanians during World War II, where the number of Jews in our country was greater after the war before it, constituting a unique case in the world, Regarding the protection of this population from Nazi persecution. He has also described them as "giants", the steps taken from Albania in these 20 years of democracy, stressing that only one people with such vitality can achieve it so quickly.

The meeting also continued with questions and conversations with students who have shown interest in many current topics, in Albania and in the Middle East.
