The President of the Republic honors with the title "Honor of the Nation" "Normal" school

Elbasan's "Normal" school has been honored with the high title "Honor of the Nation", awarded by the President of the Republic Mr. Bujar Nishani. This title was submitted to the Rector of the "Alexander Xhuvani" University of Elbasan Prof.Dr. Liman Varoshi, in a ceremony organized on the premises of this university, which is also a descendant of the Normal Open School 105 years ago in this city.

Former normalists over the years, local authorities and MPs, lecturers and students have been part of this very special and exciting ceremony, for a school which over the years, has the greatest and most pronounced contribution to Albanian education in all territories.

Rector of the University of Elbasan Prof.Dr. Liman Varoshi, thanking the president for the selection of the institution he runs for the ceremony, has emphasized the importance of Elbasan's "Normale" in the history of Albanian education.

“The activity we are taking place today marks a significant step to evoke the path of Albanian education, which from the development of the Elbasan Congress, which marks 105 years until today, to illuminate the glorious history of the Normal School, the teacher of teachers, As it has been known for decades and decades, but also to reflect deeply on today's Rona work at a time when pre -university and university education have changed not only in knowledge and methodology, but also in pedagogy and especially in teaching relations of learning ”- said Prof.Dr. Liman Varoshi in his speech.

The President of the Republic Prior to the tuning of the title "Honor of the Nation" for "Normalen" would say:

“First of all, I thank you for you for the warm reception and the fruitful cooperation in the realization of this meeting, of this commemoration of the events of our national education, the Congress of Elbasan and the establishment of the Normal School of this city.

I feel deeply happy when I look at you together with normalists, citizens, students, lecturers, local authorities and elected to this bright anniversary, because it is the citizenship, education and preservation of the best values ​​that the sacred mission of Normal, was the leitmotif, this beloved home of Albanian education.

Establishment 105 years ago of the first school of teaching in Albania, which all in history, but even today we know by the name 'Elbasan Normal', is one of the key events, the inevitable stage in the calendar of historical development and cultural of the Albanian people. ”
