EU gives the title of Doctor Honoris Causa, Dr. Igor Soltes

The Academic Senate of "Alexander Xhuvani" University in Elbasan held a ceremony to give the title Doctor Honoris Causa, Dr. Igor Soltes.

Holding the occasion at this meeting the Rector of the University Prof.Dr. Liman Varoshi has emphasized the contribution of Dr. Igor Soltes during his scientific, public, and administrative activity in the field of audit, which extends not only to his country of origin Slovenia, but also in the assistance he has provided in Albania in excellent cooperation with the control institution High state and his literature and his studies in texts that have become part of the university curriculum.

Rector Liman Varoshi also emphasized that this title given to Igor Soltes paves the way for his tuning in appreciation for other prominent figures with regional, national and beyond contribution.

Dr. Igor Soltes is currently President of the Audit Court of the Republic of Slovenia. He personally and the institution he runs has prioritized the development of bilateral relations and cooperation with counterpart institutions of the dupem audit, as well as with other international professional institutions or bodies. In this context has been of particular importance was the strengthening of relations and the support of the countries that are in processes of integration into the European Union such as Albania. The Institution of the Supreme State Audit of the Republic of Albania has very tangible the direct contribution that Dr. Igor Soltes has given to increase the performance of SAI inspectors through training.
