UNDP meeting with UE lecturers and students

On February 7, 2013, a meeting was organized at the Faculty of Economics with a meeting with youth employment: the future we want. The meeting was organized by the UN Office and UNDP in Albania in the context of consultations for determining the millennium development objectives for the post-2015 period. Dr. Liman Varoshi and the Permanent UN Coordinator in Albania at the same time the permanent representative of UNDP in Albania, Mrs. Zineb-Touimi Benegloun.

During the meeting there were discussions about the difficulties and challenges that students face in the labor market, their needs and their vision for the future. Students emphasize the importance of teaching practices at state institutions or private enterprises, lack of statistics related to employed or unemployed students, etc. Also at the meeting was discussed the importance of advising students in the relevant structures to request a job, preparing them to design a CV or for a job interview, etc.
