Exchange of Experiences for Doctoral School at the University of Elbasan

Discussing national and international experiences of doctoral schools has been the subject of a conference held at the 'Alexander Xhuvani' University of Elbasan with the support of the Tempus program. At this conference was also the Minister of Education and Science Myqerem Tafaj and the Prime Minister for Education Bardhyl Musai. Opening this conference the Rector of the University of Elbasan Liman Varoshi has emphasized the importance of this meeting even at the moment when the university he runs has as part of his curriculum and the third cycle of his doctoral studies. The rector once again emphasized the fact that the Doctoral School at the University of Elbasan successfully closes the efforts of a whole generation of lecturers and researchers from Elbasan who have made a prominent contribution to the field of scientific research over the years. He has stated that these efforts and this achievement goes in line and in respect of prominent figures of studies from the city of Elbasan, a city that is known for its prominent tradition in this field.

Rector Liman Varoshi has also stated that there is already an obligation for the university that he directs the increase in the quality and standards of research to make this institution in a powerful hotbed development in the country. He has also thanked the Minister of Education and Science Myqerem Tafaj and the Prime Minister's adviser to Education Mr. Bardhyl Musai for the continued and powerful support they have given to the University of Elbasan.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Education and Science Myqerem Tafaj initially congratulated Rector Liman Varoshi and all the staff of the University of Elbasan for the work done so far, then emphasizing the reforms in Albanian higher education which will continue in the future with special focus on quality. Minister Tafaj has emphasized that the doctoral school has already gone out of the outlines of the University of Tirana where it has been so far and has been located at the so -called district universities, as he said, but with the same importance and quality, even attempting significant improvements.

The Minister of Education and Science Myqerem Tafaj has also stressed that he is confident that the acquisition of the doctoral school from the University of Elbasan in the field of albanology in linguistics and history, as two separate disciplines, will be extremely successful by Given the nationwide experience that Elbasan has in the history of the development of these disciplines. He emphasized that it remains very important that the Doctoral School with a short history in our country follow and promote the best experiences found today in the world, for one of its doctoral bosoms, which will be the future of academic staff and scientific development nationwide and beyond. Minister Tafaj emphasized that the meeting held at the University of Elbasan is very important in this regard and will serve a lot in the exchange of experiences between well -known universities in the region and Europe.
