The Western Balkan Forum on the institutionalization of Roma is organized at the University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani"

The University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani", in cooperation with the Roma Institute of Culture in Albania and ERAC, organized the Western Balkans Forum on the institutionalization of Roma.

This forum focused on unifying scientific recommendations, with the aim of documenting Roma language, which is the first phase of the creation of written texts, the study of Roma and the design of appropriate textbooks, as well as the preservation of common heritage cultural.

Rector of the University of Elbasan, Prof.Dr. Elvira Fetahu, in her greeting speech, emphasized the importance of linguistic and cultural diversity, as a common asset to be protected and promoted. The institutionalization of a language guarantees its survival and development, giving the community a powerful tool to protect the right to be listening and contributing fully to society.
