The agreement between the University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani" and the Papal Gregorian University was signed

On September 28, 2023, at the Papnor Gregorian University, the agreement between the University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani" and the Papal Gregorian University was signed.

The rectors, Prof.Dr. Skender Topi and Mark Andrew Lewis SJ, Dean of the Faculty of Education Sciences, Prof.As.Dr. Elisabeta Osmanaj and the Director of the Gregorian Interfaith Center, Prof. Ambrogio Bongiovanni.

The rectors expressed their commitment to begin its immediate implementation, as well as the belief that this partnership would bear great fruit for both universities and their communities.

During the days of the visit, on September 28-29, the conference "Interfaith Dialogue, Albania's Contribution in the Balkans" was also held, a collaboration of the Gregorian Interfaith Center, led by Prof. Ambrogio Bongiovanni, Elbasan Interfaith Cooperation Center, represented by the President, Mr. Arben Ramkaj, as well as by the Center, Mr. Don Dorian Master, University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani", Faculty of Gregorian Philosophy and Magis Foundation.

In his statement, Prof. Topi, shared his experience as a physician, academic and rector of an important educational institution.

This scientific event was organized under the special care of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania, at the Holy See, represented by the Ambassador, Ms. Majlinda Frangaj and the Embassy of the Republic of Italy, near the Holy See, represented by Ambassador Mr. Francesco di Nitto.

The focus of this conference was to encourage inter -religious, social harmony and peace education through academic research.
