The University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani" signs cooperation agreements with the OSCE Presence in Albania
Today, the University of Elbasan "Alexander Xhuvani" has marked an important step towards deepening cooperation with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Albania.
The Rector of the University of Elbasan, Prof.Dr. Skender Topi and the Ambassador of the OSCE Presence to Albania, Mr. Bruce G. Berton, have signed an agreement aimed at establishing the Law Clinic at the University of Elbasan. Clinic:
1️⃣ will provide primary legal assistance to low -income residents in Elbasan district;
2️⃣ will assist the practice of fifth year law students.
In this agreement, the OSCE Presence in Albania will support academic staff and students with training, literature and material basis, as well as experience for developing and managing a clinic of legal aid and practical legal training program.
In his speech, the rector expressed the unconditional commitment to this cooperation, whose partnership will bring great advantages to the university community of Elbasan and beyond.
Ambassador Berton expressed his satisfaction with the deep link of cooperation with an important educational institution such as the University of Elbasan and expressed his confidence in the success of establishing the clinic of law, as well as joint projects in the future.
