KontakteUniversity of Elbasan organized the training within the framework of the SuProm Project “Sustainable project management in Balkan HEIs”
A two-day training was held at the University of Elbasan “Aleksandër Xhuvani” with the focus on project management, within the framework of the Erasmus-LS project funded by the European Union, entitled SuProM - “Sustainable project management in Balkan HEIs”, a project of 2 years duration, with the main goal the modernization of higher education in the Western Balkan countries. In this project, UNIEL is partner in a consortium of 9 universities, led by the University of Ljubljana in the role of coordinator.
The project was introduced by the coordinator for the University of Elbasan Prof.as.Dr.Imelda Sejdini and further, Ms. Vika Pusnič and Prof..Helena Kovačič from the University of Ljubljana shared their insights and presented to the attendees the activities planned for the implementation of this project.
The Rector of UNIEL Prof. Dr. Elvira Fetahu in the opening speech, among other things, emphasized the importance of this training as an opportunity to exchange best practices in project management with partner institutions and that the participation in projects such as SuProM is part of a broader vision, the vision of modernization and internationalization of higher education. She stressed that the need to increase the capacities and skills of staff today is a necessity for institutional growth and development.
In the plenary session of this activity the invited guest speakers, Mr. Miha Prezelj, Representative of the Delegation of the European Union to Albania, Ms. Mirela Muço, Director of National Agency for Scientific research and Innovation (NASRI), Ms. Klaudia Krasnika, Deputy Mayor of Elbasan Municipality and Mr. Blendi Gremi, Director of the Directorate of Economic Development and Projects of Elbasan District Council, shared with the participants their insights and experiences regarding project management.
The focus of the training developed within the framework of this project was to improve the existing knowledge, to improve skills and increase confidence in project management of academic and administrative staff of HEIs and further the confidence of students, through the inclusion of project management training courses or modules in the curriculum of study programs.
