EU Enlargement and the burden of approximation of legislation: Albania's challenges
The project aims to raise awareness of the need to include basic and specialized subjects towards European studies in the curricula offered by the University of Elbasan, to organize high expertise panels to debate the EU legislation issues to carry out Qualitative research and achieve a broader number of direct or indirect beneficiaries through written materials that will be available after the project.
Throughout the project life we will focus on 3 pillars: teaching; Search; Debate.
1. Teaching will consist of improving the existing course in EU law, as well as in the proposal of 3 new courses with a clear benefit to students in developing their careers in European law topics. The teaching activity will take place using innovative pedagogical approaches and will be supported by the Department of the Department of the Department. The main activity for achieving the charter's objectives is the summer course offered by the Department that will be dedicated to multidisciplinary units such as students, professionals, civil servants, etc. The main purpose is to raise awareness and degree of understanding of the functioning and expansion of the EU, providing a complete understanding of the Acquis adoption in the integration process.
2. During the project, the research will focus on the integration processes and adoption of the acquis in Albania, which relate to the achievements so far, the importance of a correct and faster approximation, the problems and solutions to the continued process of legal harmonization. The goal is to publish 2 scientific articles, as well as the design of a monograph as a fundamental tool for the scientific community, students and interested. This research program will promote the Department of Law as an important nucleus for further research in EU law.
3. During these 3 years of the project, 2 events will be organized, a round table and a conference, to promote high -level debate and bring together researchers, interested parties and policymakers to the same table.
Throughout the project life, the head of the chair will be active in various media panels to guarantee project visibility and an impact on the wider community. Mostly, the focus will be on: conducting studies in European law in the Department of Justice in the Names; Establishing professional forums for stakeholders in order to study Albania's achievements and challenges in adopting the
acquis ; Laying sound bases to achieve further objectives in the future such as activating a master in European studies. Project Coordinator: Prof.As.Dr. Arber found
