Activity held by Special Organization Olympics Albania in cooperation with the Faculty of Technical Medical Sciences and the Office of Career and Alumni Counseling

Today, on 14.12.2022 in the premises of the Faculty of Technical Medical Sciences, the theoretical and practical workshop on "Comprehensive Sport" was developed, organized by Special Olympics Albania in cooperation with the Faculty of Technical Medical Sciences and the Office of Career Counseling, Alumnit .

Today's workshop took place in the framework of the project "We are champions", oriented around the inclusive sport, with the active participation of people with intellectual disabilities.

Target The group of students selected in this training was from the study programs: Physiotherapy and Speech Therapy.

The opening speech was delivered by Roland Hysi, director of Special Olympics Albania, who, after making a brief presentation about this organization, invited the students present in the room to become part of the group of volunteers operating near this NGO.

Part of the panel Mrs. Fatma Spahiu, director of the Law Directorate, Career Counseling and Alumni at the EU greeted and invited students to activate as much as possible in volunteering as they would serve as a very valuable work experience. Mrs. Fatma also made a brief presentation of the career and Alumni counseling sector and the support this sector offers to students throughout the student period.

The purpose of this workshop was to engage as many young volunteers as possible in this project, a commitment that would apply to students as a UST work practice, but also as an experience on unified sport.

The training was divided into two parts: the first part was the theoretical one, where the students were introduced to the project and the second part was the practical one, which would be physically completed at the Special Special School.

At the end of the training, this experience was finalized by giving an internationally recognized certificate.
